Lea Kilraine
Assistant Director of Strategic Projects, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP
Lea Kilraine is a global manager of strategic projects at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP in New York City. In this role, she is responsible for providing high-level support and project management for the firm's executive management, coordinating the firm's global knowledge strategy efforts, and developing and managing the firm's global corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Lea joined Skadden from the former New York City Office of Human Capital Development (OHCD), in the Office of the Mayor during the administration of the Honorable Michael R. Bloomberg. The Office supported a multi-agency initiative to coordinate programming and services in workforce development, training, and adult education. OHCD also supported the New York City Workforce Investment Board (WIB). At OHCD, she was the director of strategic initiatives and led the WIB Employer Engagement Committee. She was also responsible for improving data utilization and performance analysis, which led to a City-wide quarterly performance dashboard and annual report. Additionally, she supported the research agenda for the New York City Labor Market Information Service (NYCLMIS), developed and implemented communications strategies both with WIB members and external audiences, and conducted best practice research to inform funding opportunities and new agency programming.
Prior to joining OHCD, Lea served as a consultant for Teach for America in New York City in several capacities. Lea also was a research associate at Baring Private Equity Partners, where she focused on investments in Latin America and Africa.
Lea holds an MPA from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and a BA from Bucknell University.
