Mission of the Office of Academic Advisement

The Office of Academic Advisement promotes undergraduate degree students’ development and academic success by:

• Providing high quality academic advising to help students grow intellectually and personally
• Facilitating students’ academic transition into and through CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) classes
• Fostering strong, respectful, and professional advisor-advisee relationships
• Offering academic support and guidance to students in the decision-making process related to course choices, financial aid, and the adjustment to online learning
• Promoting students’ self-responsibility in achieving and understanding their educational goals
