Mission of the Office of Academic Advisement

The Office of Academic Advisement promotes undergraduate degree students’ development and academic success by:

Providing high quality academic advising to help students grow intellectually and personally
Facilitating students’ academic transition into and through CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) classes
Fostering strong, respectful, and professional advisor-advisee relationships
Offering academic support and guidance to students in the decision-making process related to course choices, financial aid, and the adjustment to online learning
Promoting students’ self-responsibility in achieving and understanding their educational goals
