​​​​​​Sarah ('20) (she/they) is an applied theatre practitioner whose work spans a range of populations and subjects. With other MAAT alums, Sarah founded The Defrost Project, an artist collective that uses place-based theatre to celebrate and interrogate local issues in rural communities. She has worked as a theatermaker and facilitator with Jewish Voice for Peace, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Wonderlust Productions, Cornerstone Theater Company and The Public Theater, and as an apprentice with the CAT Youth Theatre. Outside of applied theatre work, Sarah has been an arts administrator, college access counselor, writing teacher, and worked in state and local government. Sarah has served as Program Assistant for the MAAT program since 2019, and as a Writing Support Coach since 2022.
