Sarah Meister ('20) (she/they) is currently a full time lecturer in CUNY John Jay College's Department of Interdisciplinary Studies and an adjunct faculty member in CUNY SPS' MA in Applied Theatre (MAAT). She was the 2022 recipient of AATE's Distinguished Thesis Award for her MAAT thesis “Speaking Back and Imagining Forward: Using Applied Theatre to Instigate Dialogue in Museums.” Sarah has worked as a theatermaker and facilitator with CAT Youth Theatre, Educational Alliance, The Defrost Project, Jewish Voice for Peace, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Wonderlust Productions, and Cornerstone Theater Company. Sarah has held many roles within the MAAT, including Program Assistant (2019-2022), Interim Assistant Director (2022), Thesis Reader (2021-), Thesis Advisor (2022-), Independent Study Advisor (2022-), and Writing Support Coach (2022-).
