Lennyn Jacob is a Latina woman with a disability. She is a student activist and proud to be a loving mother of a neuro-diverse son with autism. Her pronouns are she/her/hers/ella. Until the Spring of 2020, she served for 12 years as a Teaching Assistant for disabled children with the NYC Department of Education in the South Bronx. She recently graduated from Bronx Community College, where she earned an Associate of Liberal Arts. She currently attends the CUNY School of Professional Studies, pursuing a bachelor's in Disability Studies. Lennyn also currently serves as the Chairperson for the CUNY Coalition for Students with Disabilities (CCSD), the university-wide group that represents nearly 10,000 students with disabilities. Previously she had served as Secretary of the CUNY-wide Coalition for Students with Disabilities (CCSD) and the Treasurer of the CCSD@BCC club. She currently works as a Disability Accommodation Specialist at Hostos Community College, proudly serving students with disabilities in higher education, and is the co-advisor to the CCSD@Hostos club. Her work with CCSD has led her to be recognized as part of the City & State Power 100: Most Influential People in Higher Education in 2022 and 2023.
