Abigail Kolker

Adjunct Assistant Professor, Sociology

Dr. Abby Kolker is an Immigration Policy Analyst at the Library of Congress and an Adjunct Professor at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Abby holds a PhD in Sociology with certificates in Women’s Studies and Advanced Social Research Methods from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her dissertation examined the impact of immigration and labor policy on Filipino elder care workers in Tel Aviv and New York City. Abby received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in Urban Studies, Hispanic Studies, and Gender Studies. After college, she worked in social policy think tanks and NGOs in Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires and served on the board of Camp PALS for teens with Down syndrome. Abby enjoys theater, exploring new cities, and running with her dog, Bana.
