Jen Siaca Curry

Jen Siaca Curry, EdD has worked with both large agencies and small start-ups to develop strategic plans, conduct research, raise funds, and design youth programs. Prior to founding Change Impact, Dr. Siaca Curry held a number of roles in education and workforce development. She served as the inaugural NYC director of Samaschool, a future of work training program focused on the gig economy for young adults, and as chief operating officer of ExpandED Schools, an intermediary that supports schools and community organizations to design and operate after-school programs. In her prior role as director of national technical assistance, Dr. Siaca Curry supported school districts, public agencies, and community organizations across the country to build high-quality after-school programs and systems through practice and policy change. Named a 2018 Rising Latino Star by the Hispanic Coalition of New York State, Dr. Siaca Curry is a first-generation college graduate, also earning a master's degree in nonprofit management and a doctorate in education leadership from New York University. She is an adjunct professor of youth studies at the CUNY School of Professional Studies and vice president of the NYS Network for Youth Success board of directors.

Professor Curry emphasizes the urgency in this time of federal budgetary cuts to cultural programs while making the case that investments in the arts improve the overall well-being of communities at large.
