The Advanced Certificate in Management program is a fully online program starting this Fall 2021 semester. Minor updates to the curriculum will be in place beginning in Spring 2022. All questions pertaining to the details of these changes should be directed to Lianna Scull, Assistant Director, Sociology and Human Relations Programs.
Study key elements in contemporary management in the Advanced Certificate in Management. Employees representing many workplace sectors enroll to become better managers and to understand employee motivation, supervision, and management of financial resources in organizations.
The program emphasizes workplace communication, conflict resolution, and examining one’s own leadership style.
Students in the program:
- Develop professional expertise in financial management, organizational behavior, and human resource management
- Enhance your communication, conflict resolution, and leadership skills
- Expand your expertise through practice, feedback, and networking
Courses in the Advanced Certificate in Management program are transferable to the MS in Business Management and Leadership online degree program.
Effective Fall 2020
Students admitted to the Advanced Certificate in Management (ACM) can transfer up to six credits with a grade of B or higher to the MS in Business Management and Leadership program (MSBML). Those admitted prior to Fall 2020 can transfer up to nine credits.

Admissions Criteria
Candidates for admission to advanced certificate programs must possess a bachelor’s degree with a 3.0 GPA or higher from an accredited undergraduate institution.
