Nicole Mahoney works at the New-York Historical Society Center for Women's History as the coordinator for the Early Career Workshop, a monthly meeting of new scholars in the fields of women's and gender history. Mahoney earned her PhD in History from the University of Maryland, College Park, specializing in early American women’s history. She held year-long research fellowships at the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, the Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library, and the New-York Historical Society’s Center for Women's History. Mahoney earned an MA in History and Literature from Columbia University in Paris and a BA in History and French Studies from Wagner College on Staten Island. As a faculty member of the MA in Museum Studies program at CUNY School of Professional Studies, she teaches elective courses such as MST 642 – Public History/Women’s History in the Public Realm.
