Nicole Mahoney (she/her/hers) is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the CUNY SPS Museum Studies Program. She also works at the New-York Historical Society as Manager of Scholarly Initiatives and Academic Affairs. Mahoney earned a PhD in History from the University of Maryland, College Park and specializes in early American women's history. She earned an MA in History and Literature from Columbia University in Paris and a BA in History and French Studies from Wagner College on Staten Island. She has held year-long research fellowships at the McNeil Center for Early American Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, the Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society at the Hagley Museum and Library, and the New-York Historical Society Center for Women's History. Previously, Mahoney worked at the National Constitution Center, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, the Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia, and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.
