Lourdes Quinteros

Lou is a dedicated lifelong student who thrives in academia, holding multiple degrees and is currently working toward an MA in Disability Studies at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. With a passion for both learning and advocacy, she is committed to becoming a mental health rights activist, aiming to dismantle stigmas and fight for inclusivity in the disability community. Beyond her academic and activist pursuits, Lou finds solace in music and self-expression through poetry, allowing her creative side to flourish. She also paints her nails blue, a symbol of her bravery in standing up for disability rights, embodying her personal mantra: "Destigmatize to Humanize." Through education, creativity, and advocacy, she hopes to make meaningful, lasting change in the world.
