Jamiel Sheikh is founder and CEO of Chainhaus, a digital assets advisory and education company focused on decentralized finance and artificial intelligence. He has over 20 years of experience in technology, capital markets, real estate, and management. Prior to Chainhaus, Sheikh worked for organizations like Lehman Brothers, JPMorgan, Bank of America, Sun Microsystems, SONY, and Citigroup. Sheikh is an adjunct professor at CUNY SPS teaching graduate-level blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and data science subjects.

Sheikh is currently authoring The Decentralized Finance Phenomenon for Columbia Press and is also the author Mastering Corda, an Amazon 100 bestseller. He runs the Central Bank Digital Currency Think Tank, which consists of the central bank, academics, and Blockchain NYC, the city's largest blockchain and digital assets Meetup group. He is a board member of the Society of Women Coders, which helps young women in underserved communities engage in technology, and sits on advisory boards for several startups. He is also a member of the United Nations Digital Currency Global Initiative and Digital Euro Association.

Sheikh owns and operates several digital assets including CBDC Insider and Blockchain101.com which focuses on educating on the emerging web 3.0 world.

Sheikh holds an MBA from Columbia University's Business School and BBA from Baruch College and is completing his second master's in artificial intelligence from Georgia Institute of Technology.

Sheikh is an active contributor in several Java, Kotlin, Python, and Rust open source projects.
