Jamie Lerner-Brecher is a student in the Disability Studies MA program. She graduated from Columbia University in 2019 with a degree in American Studies. At Columbia she served on the student government and as co-chair of the Students with Disabilities Senate Subcommittee. Since 2014 she has volunteered as an SAT and college application tutor through Let’s Get Ready and Khan Academy. From 2014-2019 she worked for a college pedagogy office and helped train hundreds of professors from all around the world in student-centered learning. She has also served on the Disability and Access Coalition at SPS this year and is looking forward to continuing this work next year.
