Asantee Mitchell
Asantee Mitchell hails from Queens, NY, and grew up spending time in both Queens and Joppa, Maryland. She received her associate's degree in Marketing from New York City College of Technology and bachelor's degree in Disability Studies, with honors, from the CUNY School of Professional Studies. As a returning student, she is seeking her Master in Disability Services in Higher Education.
During her time at CUNY SPS, she served as the co-chair for the School's Student Association, and a representative on both the Governing Council, and the Committee on Institutional Equity and Diversity, as well as filling the roles of meetings and programing chair for the Black Student Union, and mentor for the Black Male Initiative. Beyond CUNY SPS, she has also served as a delegate the CUNY University Student Senate.
Asantee began her journey as a professional life coach, self-publishing author, and entrepreneur, leading workshops in universities, middle schools and youth organizations, including The Boys and Girls Club of Aberdeen. As Founder and CEO of The Student Place of Talent Non-profit, she has published over 50 workbooks and journals focused on self-improvement, grief, and loss.
