At-Large Steering Officer, Student Association
Allison is 18 credits away from graduating with her BA in Disability Studies. She started her journey in 2019 after completing her AA in Sociology. She is a member of Sigma Chi Eta, Phi Theta Cappa, NSLS, and a founding member of Delta Alpha Phi. She is the Social Media Liaison for Delta Alpha Pi. In addition, she is a member of the Disability Access Coalition. She is passionate about helping others find their voice and understand the importance of inclusion. She volunteers for a local community group, Inspire Connections, to bring about awareness of the issues that impact the disabled community. While at CUNY SPS she has maintained a 4.0 GPA and actively shares with her classmates her experiences as a person with a disability. She helped secure speakers and offered ideas for the 2020 Leadership Conference.
In her free time, she helps her local community by giving back to those in need through the sale of bracelets, pins, and various items. To date, she has donated over $10,000 to families in need in her community. She volunteered with Sally’s Dream and Warwick Playground Dreams to bring accessible playgrounds to children with disabilities in Orange County NY. She does not let the grass grow under her wheels and encourages others to Strive for the Impossible. She is excited to be a part of the Student Association and looks forward to the opportunity to make a difference in the experiences of students.
