Alice Blecker, M.ED (pronouns: she/her & they/them) is an Adjunct Professor, Researcher, Consultant, and Coordinator in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and currently teaches in the Child Development Associates program at CUNY School of Professional Studies (SPS). Alice obtained her Masters of Education from Mills College in Early Childhood Education Policy. After working as an early childhood educator, Alice moved into systems-building work to address the structural inequities impacting the lives, development and opportunities of children, families, and the workforce that serves them. Alice’s academic work focuses on trauma informed practice, assessment and intervention, mixed methods data collection and analysis, family engagement, workforce development, and supporting gender expansiveness in early childhood.
