CUNY SPS Faculty Contributes Chapter to Book Anthology

Elizabeth Alsop, academic director of the CUNY SPS Communication and Media and Liberal Studies programs, has contributed a chapter to the book anthology After "Happily Ever After": Romantic Comedy in the Post-Romantic Age, edited by Maria San Filippo. The book, which will be released by Wayne State University Press on May 18, looks at the reinvention of the romantic comedy in recent years. Alsop's chapter focuses specifically on the way TV shows like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend use their serial format to radically transform the genre.
