The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS), a national leader in online education, is expanding its academic portfolio with a wide range of new degree and certificate programs—including the first-ever master’s in AI to be offered at CUNY—that are designed to meet the evolving needs of today’s workforce.
These offerings, launching between Fall 2025 and Fall 2026, will provide students with cutting-edge skills and specialized training across fields including psychology, information science, business, early childhood policy, nonprofit management, and generative AI.
CUNY SPS Dean Lisa R. Braverman praised the launch as a major step forward for the School’s students and the communities they serve.
“We are thrilled to introduce this outstanding array of new programs that reflect our commitment to innovation, student success, and workforce readiness,” Dean Braverman said. “These degrees and certificates will equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and credentials they need to thrive in rapidly changing, in-demand fields—from artificial intelligence and business analytics to nonprofit management, data science, disability advocacy, and health psychology. Just as importantly, they strengthen the opportunities for career growth that CUNY SPS is dedicated to providing for our diverse community of adult learners.”
As of Fall 2025, CUNY SPS has introduced these programs:
Launching in Spring 2026, students can look forward to new advanced certificates, certificates, and graduate degrees, including:
- Advanced Certificate in Disability Advocacy
- Advanced Certificate in Early Childhood Policy
- Advanced Certificate in Children’s Program Administrator Credential
- Certificate in Health Psychology
- Certificate in CASAC/Addiction Studies*
- BA in Psychology – CASAC/Addiction Studies Track*
- MS in Generative AI (the first master’s program of its kind to be offered at CUNY)
- MA in Early Childhood Policy and Leadership
In Fall 2026, the School will add even more options:
- MS in Strategic Nonprofit Management
- Advanced Certificate in Health Information Management
- Advanced Certificate in Nonprofit Management*
- BS in Business with tracks in Accounting, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and Self-Directed Study
- BS in Information Science – Cybersecurity Track
