Presenters: Jessica Leahey and Karina Sindicich

We explored and investigate an eight-week applied theatre project at a harm reduction center in Brooklyn, New York from December 2019 - March 2020. This project used forum theatre, storytelling, and clowning to investigate the central question, 'How might individuals in a harm reduction program explore relationships and creative expression within their community by using applied theatre?' The original plan was to devise a piece of forum theatre with the participants, but the project shifted to focus more into storytelling and exploring movement through images, dance, and clowning.
