Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Fulton, PhD, served 25 years in the Army Medical Department. Dr. Fulton retired and began his second academic career with research focused on applying quantitative methods to healthcare and sustainability. His published research (80+ articles), grants (>$1M), and contracts (>$1M) include randomized controlled trials, simulation, optimization, and machine learning (ML) applied to real-world problems. Larry has conducted human subjects and animal research as well as descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive studies. His current research applies ML techniques to medical imagery with associated implementation via mobile technology. With an earned doctorate from the University of Texas, Larry maintains professional certifications with the American Statistical Association (Professional Statistician), the Royal Statistical Society (Chartered Scientist and Chartered Statistician), the Institute for Operations Research & Management Science (Certified Analytics Professional), and other organizations.
