CUNY SPS's Office of Student Life hosted its second annual Lavender Graduation and sixth annual Black Student Union Graduation, honoring the Class of 2026 LGBTQIA+ and Black graduates with hybrid celebrations.

The new title, suggested by two community members and chosen by a panel of judges, will be Voices: The Magazine of the CUNY School of Professional Studies.

LGBTQI+ grads, faculty, and allies came together for the inaugural Lavender Graduation at CUNY SPS—an evening filled with powerful stories, community pride, and messages of hope, resilience, and belonging.
