The Nursing program mentoring planning committee invites you to attend an engaging panel discussion on professional academic transitions within nursing with focus on three key areas:

  1. AAS nurse to a BS nurse;
  2. AAS program to an online BSN program;
  3. Management of psychological and mental aspect of transitioning.

Speakers:

Dr. Bernadette Amicucci PhD, DNS, MBA, FNP-BC, CNE, NEA-BC
Dr. Amicucci has been in clinical practice for over 30 years, first as a Registered Nurse and then as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has a wealth of experience in both acute care and community nursing settings. Dr. Amicucci has taught nursing in AAS, BSN and RN to BSN programs. She is certified through the NLN as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and by ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC). Dr. Amicucci is the Senior Director of Clinical Education at White Plains Hospital and is the Founding Director of their ANCC accredited Transition to Practice Nurse Residency program.

Dr. Keith Weiner, PhD, RN-BC
Keith Richard Weiner PhD, RN-BC is a cybersecurity professional, researcher, and professor with 20 years of informatics experience including a decade in information security leadership positions. He serves on several boards and committees in an effort to help improve health through informatics. He is also Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and active member of HIMSS. Keith continues to present at research and industry conferences. A contributing author of several textbooks and publications, he has also served on an editorial board and peer reviewer for scientific journals. In his spare time, Keith plays several musical instruments and is constantly exploring new technologies.

Dr. Linda Paradiso DNP, RN, NPP, NEA-BC
Dr. Linda Paradiso is a proud three time CUNY graduate. She has almost 40 years of psychiatric nursing experience, most as a director of program. Dr. Paradiso embraces life-long learning and mentoring. It is an important aspect of professional growth and vital to self-care.
