Alexandra (Alex) Portillo brings over seven years of experience as an early childhood educator, specializing in pre-K and 3K classrooms. In addition to her role as an educator, Alex has excelled as a coach, guiding both teachers and leaders to achieve their individual goals. Since 2017, she has served as a dedicated Child Development Associate (CDA) instructor, imparting her knowledge and expertise to aspiring educators. Her commitment to professional development is further underscored by her attainment of the NYAEYC Training and Technical Assistance professional credential (T-TAP), allowing her to lead impactful courses for educators, administrators, and directors.
In her most recent position as a Career Advisor, Alex continues to make a difference by supporting Early Childhood professionals in advancing their education and careers. She is deeply committed to making higher education accessible and impactful for students of all backgrounds.
