Online Psychology Academy

The Online Psychology Academy provides students from CUNY community colleges with a seamless path to enroll in the fully online BA in Psychology degree at CUNY SPS.

Students who meet the program requirements from those listed below are given the opportunity to bypass the traditional application process and are awarded 60 credits towards their bachelor’s degree.

    • A.A. Psychology - STEM concentration
    • A.A. Psychology - GENERAL concentration
  • Guttman Community College:
    • A.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences - Social Sciences and Humanities track
  • Hostos Community College:
    • A.A. Liberal Arts - PSYCHOLOGY option
    • A.A. Liberal Arts - PSYCHOLOGY - RESEARCH option
  • Kingsborough Community College:
    • A.A.S in Polysomnographic Technology
  • LaGuardia Community College:
    • A.A. in Psychology
  • Queensborough Community College:
    • A.S. in Psychology

Benefits of the Online Psychology Academy

In addition to the simplified application process, Online Psychology Academy students receive tailored group advisement (via virtual sessions and campus visits) and other tailored students supports and programming.

Application Process

As part of the Online Psychology Academy, the traditional application form is waived. Students simply indicate their intent to transfer to CUNY SPS via responses to email and/or text communication sent by our Admissions Office.

Admissions Requirements

In general, students must be enrolled in a psychology degree program at their home school (or other program noted above) and graduate with a grade point average of at least 2.5. Full degree maps for each program will be made available on this page soon.
