2025 Commencement
Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Commencement is a time to commemorate your accomplishments and celebrate your future. The CUNY School of Professional Studies is delighted to celebrate this momentous occasion with you!
CUNY SPS holds only one Commencement ceremony each year. The 2025 Commencement ceremony will be held next spring, in late May or early June. Details on the ceremony date, time, and venue will be announced in early 2025.
Applying to Graduate
Students who hope to be part of the Class of 2025 must first submit the Application to Graduate form to the Registrar's office no later than March 1, 2025. This step begins the audit process that must be completed before your degree can be issued. If you have questions about your application, please contact the Office of Registrar.
Per School policy, students who have no more than two remaining courses to complete their degree requirements at the end of the Spring semester are permitted to participate in Commencement. To do so, the student must be registered for the final course(s) in the summer term.
Please note: Completing this application does not confirm your attendance at the 2025 Commencement ceremony.
Attending the Spring 2025 Graduation
Invitations will be sent to students' CUNY SPS email accounts, as well as to the alternate email accounts that students provide on their application to graduate. The invitations will be sent no later than the second week in March 2025. RSVPs to attend the ceremony will be accepted only through the response process outlined in the email invitation; the deadline to RSVP is usually mid-April.
Information about becoming student speaker, applying to perform the national anthem, taking senior portraits, ordering regalia, and more can be found on the Commencement site in the coming months.
