As part of CUNY’s Disability Awareness Month, the CUNY SPS Abilities and Resources Committee is hosting Perspectives on Access: An Afternoon of Panel Conversations and Film.

Nearly 30 years since the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), how has accessibility for students and people with disabilities evolved, from mobility in the New York City area to international travel?

A select group of CUNY SPS students and faculty members will explore this question alongside representatives from organizations involved in improving access to mass transit and cultural spaces. We will also offer a sneak peek at a new documentary film, Speaking Nearby: Conversations in Shetland that focuses on the global experience.
