Mission

Our mission is to spread our love of anime and manga among our fellow students. Everyone has different views and different preferences of shows and books, and we will welcome those who are viewers of anime and manga.  

Vision

Our vision here is to ensure students who watch Japanese anime and manga can share their love for the genre in a safe environment. We aim to foster a welcoming community where fans can connect, discuss, and celebrate their favorite series. Together, we'll create a space that respects and embraces diverse perspectives and passions within the anime and manga fandom.

Mission

The CUNY SPS Arts & Crafts Club is a student-run organization that allows all CUNY SPS students interested in art (not limited to painting, drawing, sketching, etc.) or crafts (not limited to knitting, crochet, jewelry making, sewing, etc.) to expand their knowledge and understanding of arts and crafts, share resources, and socialize with other students who share similar interests. Students will gain these skills through regular meeting attendance, participation in group events, and community service opportunities. The Arts & Crafts Club also offers students opportunities to engage with faculty and administration, explore professional development, and participate in co-curricular activities that enhance student life.

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) Black Student Union aims to create a safe space for Black students at CUNY SPS. We have solidified our purpose to promote and integrate positive relationships and access within our community. Our mission is to empower our Black students and provide them with the resources they deserve to have a holistic student experience. All are welcome to mentor and be mentored; all are welcome to build and be built. We honor our Black Community and the multiple intersecting identities we hold.

Vision

Being a part of the Black Student Union means that you are ready to learn, engage, and spread awareness on issues affecting the Black community. Our aim is to create a platform for Black students to be able to achieve greatness for years to come.

This space will:

• Present opportunities for folk to engage in the history and context of Black peoples
• Connect and build relationships and networks among students and alumni

Students shall gain these skills through meetings attendance, group events, and community service opportunities. SPS Book Club also provides the opportunity to meet faculty members, administration representatives, and other students with similar goals. Through membership students become acquainted with professional development for their career and other aspects of SPS Book Club that are not taught in the classroom. Membership in SPS Book Club is open to all currently enrolled CUNY SPS students. All activities and events sponsored by Student Activity Fees will be open to all CUNY SPS students without exception. The CUNY SPS Christian Fellowship Club exists to cultivate a Christ-centered community where students can grow in their faith, support one another, and engage in meaningful discussions about Christianity. We aim to foster spiritual growth through Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and acts of service, encouraging members to live out their faith in their daily lives.

the art of cosplay. We strive to provide a welcoming space for enthusiasts of all skill levels to
share their passion, collaborate on projects, and showcase their work. By fostering friendship
and inclusivity, we aim to inspire each other to push our artistic boundaries, learn new skills,
and bring our favorite characters to life. Together, we embrace the joy of fandom and the
magic of transformation!

Our cosplay club envisions a vibrant community where creativity knows no bounds and every
member feels empowered to express their unique passions. We aspire to be a hub of
inspiration and collaboration, where cosplayers of all backgrounds come together to share
knowledge, support each other’s journeys, and celebrate the artistry of bringing characters to
life. Through events, workshops, and conventions, we aim to elevate the cosplay experience,
fostering lifelong friendships and a deeper appreciation for the diverse world of fandom.

Mission

As the CUNY SPS Creative Writing Club, we will come together once a month and answer writing prompts. We will use our creativity to enhance our writing skills and create an environment of safety. We will gain new writing skills and showcase our talent. We will share our love for writing and creating new stories. 

Vision

As a club, we hope to inspire others to engage with one another and share our love of writing. We will create a safe space where all opinions and values matter. This club is for everyone, whether you are a strong writer or a novice. We respect everyone’s writing capabilities and welcome all. We hope to get to know each other in a deeper level through our writing, whether it is within short stories, poetry, etc. Additionally, our school’s c relative writing club wants to bring together a vibrant community of empowering minds were imagination and artistry knows no bounds.

Mission

The Delta Alpha Pi International Honor Society, established in 2004 at East Stroudsburg University, aims to recognize the academic achievements of college students with disabilities while combating negative stereotypes. Membership is open to undergraduates with a documented disability who maintain a GPA of at least 3.10 and have completed 24 credits, and to graduates with a GPA of 3.30 and 18 credits. The Society promotes leadership, advocacy, and mentorship, alongside educational programming on disability issues. Governance includes elected officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary) and an Executive Council, with meetings adhering to Robert’s Rules of Order. Amendments require a two-thirds majority for approval.

Mission

The Disability and Access Coalition is a subcommittee of the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) Student Association. Our mission is to raise awareness around disability issues, build and maintain a campus that celebrates, advocates for, and ensures inclusiveness, and foster collaboration between students with disabilities and those who are allies. We provide programming and events in an effort to establish a supportive community where folks are empowered and affirmed in their intersectional identities.

The Management and Entrepreneur Leadership Organization (MELO) was created by the former Academic Director of online business programs, Dr. Edwin Knox. This organization allows students to learn and engage in entrepreneurial thought for managing and starting a business. In addition, MELO also focuses on understanding what management is and how important it is for leading an organization effectively. Students joining MELO will get an opportunity to speak with successful organization leaders and entrepreneurs, creating a long-lasting learning process. The SHRM Student Chapter connects students interested in human resources, leadership, management, and workplace development. By spotlighting student experiences, academic journeys, and social issues, we aim to connect and inspire listeners across the SPS community and beyond. Attendance snapshot: During the 2025–2026 academic year, Student Life recorded 2,121 tracked attendance entries. Virtual programming accounted for 1,521 entries (71.7%), while in-person, hybrid, and off-campus programming accounted for 600 entries (28.3%).

Student learning outcomes: Based on 19 student learning assessment responses, 89% reported transferable leadership growth, 79% connected club involvement to academics or student success, 68% reported career exploration or a new professional interest, and 53% specifically identified leadership as a skill gained through participation.
