CUNY SPS Commemorates Historic 20th Anniversary with Special Publication

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) is proud to celebrate its historic 20th anniversary year with a special digital publication honoring this milestone.

The publication “Celebrating 20 Years of CUNY SPS” is now available on the CUNY SPS Issuu site.

Developed by the Office of Marketing and Communications, the anniversary publication commemorates the School’s two decades with a look back at the growth of CUNY SPS since its founding in 2003, its rise as a national leader in online education, and personal reflections from twenty members of the community, who share what makes CUNY SPS special to them.

“I am delighted to celebrate this remarkable milestone that the CUNY School of Professional Studies has reached in 2023: our 20th year as a dedicated higher education institution serving adult learners in New York and beyond,” said CUNY SPS Dean Dr. Lisa R. Braverman. “To honor our achievements and this historic anniversary, I invite everyone to explore this special publication, where you’ll learn more about the history of CUNY SPS and read moving observations by members of our community.”

As part of this anniversary celebration, all members of the School community are invited to share their own personal stories about what makes CUNY SPS special to them. To contribute your own story, please fill out this online form.
