CUNY SPS Announces Winners of 2022 ePortfolio Showcase

CUNY SPS student looks at her laptop

The CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2022 ePortfolio Student Showcase, an annual School-wide exhibit of outstanding personalized student websites.

Each year, students across 16 academic programs develop an ePortfolio that demonstrates the skills and knowledge learned in their courses and reflects on their academic journey at CUNY SPS.

The ePortfolio platform is designed to allow students to create a digital identity, use multimodal composition to create purposeful narratives, and share their academic and personal experiences with their peers. This year, our students have created remarkable ePortfolios that not only demonstrated a skillset but also showed their dedication and resilience.

The 2022 showcase winners are:

  • Adeola Okanlawon, BA in Disability Studies
  • Amanda Ramkishun, MS in Disability Services in Higher Education
  • Ana Maritza Rivera, MS in Disability Services in Higher Education
  • Jamie Lerner-Brecher, MA in Disability Studies
  • Kelsie Kopcyznski, BA in Disability Studies
  • Raz Rivera, MA in Disability Studies
  • Syeda Zanib, BA in Disability Studies
  • Yessenia Gutierrez-Symby, MS in Disability Services in Higher Education

This year’s judging panel for the ePortfolio showcase featured a range of faculty and staff who work every day to help our students have a successful experience at CUNY SPS. Judges included Anthony Sweeney, associate director, student life; Chanira Rojas, academic program coordinator, youth studies; Sarah Ruth Jacobs, adjunct assistant professor, liberal studies and communication and media programs; Sydney Andino-Briglall, credit for prior learning specialist; and the ePortfolio team.

Winning ePortfolios were selected based on the quality and reflectiveness of the student’s writing, the effectiveness and accessibility of their website design and navigation, and the relevance of their artifacts and work samples.

All winners received a $100 cash prize, and have been featured on the CUNY SPS ePortfolio Student Showcase website.
