Care Work Theatre Project presents: Brooklyn Nanny Diaries

This eight session project with domestic workers utilized applied theatre to support existing organizing for domestic workers rights. Through each session, participants engaged in playing games, storytelling, and Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed to explore issues in the domestic work industry. Based on their experiences, the group devised an original Forum Theatre to perform for domestic workers, employers, organizers, and allies.
