Happy fall from the facilitators of the UDL Collaborative! We're a community of practice that brings together faculty and staff from across campus to explore accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
Whether you're new to UDL or have years of experience, our collaborative is a space to discuss best practices, get answers to your questions, and brainstorm practical solutions for creating more inclusive learning environments. We warmly welcome both returning members and anyone interested in joining us for the first time. All faculty and staff are invited to participate.
We're excited to kick off the UDL Collaborative for the fall semester, and our first meeting will be part of OFDIT's Digital Accessibility Day!
Whether you're new to the collaborative or a returning member, we'd love to have you join us. In this session, we will:
• Introduce the Collaborative and our webpage on OpenLab
• Talk about the values we bring as we engage in this shared space
• Reflect together on other Accessibility Day sessions you've attended
• Share what we're each working on this semester, including UDL-based course design and accessible document practices
• Look ahead to the ADA compliance deadline and discuss training needs for faculty and staff
