What's Next in the World of Museum Work?
A Panel Discussion About Working in Cultural Institutions in a Post-Pandemic Landscape
Museums are undeniably different than just a year ago. The pandemic disrupted institutions regardless of their mission. Departments shifted their structures and redefined their scope of work. Now that spaces are expanding capacity new employment pathways are opening, but what do these jobs look like and how can people connect with them?
On Tuesday, August 10, at 6:00 pm, the CUNY SPS Museum Studies program hosts a panel of experts from institutions around the country to hear their views on the post-pandemic era, including assessing damage to our cultural institutions, exploring emerging strengths, and expanding the understanding of, and preparation for, new museum work.
This event is open to current CUNY SPS Museum Studies students, alumni, and faculty. Check your SPS email account for the invitation.
