The Sociology and Human Relations Conversation Series kicks off with an engaging discussion with Dr. Sara Martucci, faculty member and author of There Was Nothing There: Williamsburg, The Gentrification of a Brooklyn Neighborhood.

Dr. Martucci's book explores the complex and layered community of Williamsburg, examining the tensions, contradictions, and inequalities brought about by gentrification over four decades.
She will delve into the themes and insights of this compelling work in conversation with Dr. Regina Bernard, Academic Director, and Lianna Scull, Assistant Director, of the Sociology and Human Relations Programs.
