What does it mean to lead as a woman in today’s workplace? This interactive session explores how gender stereotypes and expectations can influence women’s leadership experiences and opportunities.
Participants will examine the challenges women may face and learn practical strategies for navigating them with confidence and effectiveness. The session includes brief activities and opportunities for reflection and practice.
This presentation will be by Ivy Zhang, CUNY SPS staff member.
Ivy Zhang is an educator with a professional background spanning business and academia. She holds a B.S. in Finance, an M.S. in Accounting, and recently earned her Master of Liberal Arts in Psychology from Harvard. Her academic interests focus on social psychology, identity, and leadership, particularly women’s leadership.
Her Harvard capstone project, Lead from Within: A Psychology-Based Educational Program on Women’s Leadership, explored the psychological dynamics underlying gender and leadership. Ivy is a former President of the Harvard Extension School Psychology Student Club and recipient of the Excellence in Leadership and Service Award from Harvard Extension School.
