Dr. Lilly Mathew, Ph.D. RN, joins CUNY School of Professional Studies Nursing Program as a tenured Associate Professor of Nursing Informatics. Prior to joining CUNY SPS, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at York College, CUNY. She is an experienced nursing faculty and has taught in several nursing programs. Additionally, she serves as a research mentor for clinical nurses at Mather Hospital, Northwell Health. Her research area focuses on designing, developing, and testing educational interventions using technology to target psychomotor, cognitive and affective domains of learning across populations. She has had multiple peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations in her field of research. She holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, Standish, MN and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from S.N.D.T Women’s University, Mumbai, India. She is also currently appointed as CUNY IRB member. She is actively engaged in professional organizations serving as an elected board member for Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS) North East chapter, mentor for the American Nurses Association (ANA), abstract peer-reviewer for many national conferences and member of the American Nurses Informatics Association (ANIA). She is been invited as a manuscript peer-reviewer for the Journal of Transcultural Nursing, Journal of Patient Experience and the European Journal of Information Systems.
