Dr. Wendy Ikemoto is the associate curator of American art at the New-York Historical Society. She received her PhD from Harvard University in History of Art and Architecture where her primary field was American art and secondary field Japanese art.  She worked at The Courtauld Institute of Art in London, at Vassar College, and in secondary education at a school for Native Hawaiian students. Dr. Ikemoto’s publications include academic articles in American Art and The Burlington Magazine in addition to the scholarly book Antebellum American Pendant Paintings: New Ways of Looking (Routledge 2017).
