Dr. Vicki Caruana, Academic Assessment Manager in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness & Planning at CUNY School of Professional Studies. With a background in program evaluation and assessment, Dr. Caruana has served as the assessment and accreditation lead in Education at two other universities. She comes to CUNY SPS from Mount Saint Mary College, where she served as a tenured associate professor in the division of education and as coordinator of graduate education programs and of the advanced graduate certificate program in gifted education. Her career also includes time at Regis University, as assistant professor and department chair of teacher education, and as graduate program coordinator for special education. She has presented and published widely in the field of education in the areas of curriculum, assessment, and instruction. and holds a PhD in curriculum and instruction/teacher education, an MEd in educational leadership, an MEd in gifted education, and a BA in specific learning disabilities, all from the University of South Florida.
