Diomaris Peguero migrated from the Dominican Republic at the age of six, and has since lived in the Bronx most of her life. After working at Women in Need for over four years, she secured a job at The Consortium for Worker Education as a Human Resources Generalist. Once there, she became inspired to further her education and become more proficient in the human resources field, so she enrolled at Baruch College and, three and half years later, obtained a General Certificate and a Master Certificate in Human Resources Management. She then enrolled at Hostos Community College, where she received her Associate Degree in Business Management. She was the top third graduate in her degree program, and was promoted to the Assistant Director of the Human Resources Department. She is currently enrolled in the CUNY SPS bachelor’s degree program in Human Relations, and is the Director of Human Resources at The Consortium for Worker Education.
