Welcome To SPS Student E-Mail!

When you enroll at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, a Live@SPS e-mail account will be automatically generated for you. Although Microsoft hosts the e-mail, CUNY maintains control. This student e-mail system is based on Windows Live Hotmail, the most-used Webmail service in the world, although it is customized and co-branded by each CUNY College. Live@SPS provides current students and alumni with a set of communications and collaboration services, such as e-mail, shared calendar, and address book.

Username: (lower case)
firstname.lastname@spsmail.cuny.edu

Example:
Name: John Doe
Username= john.doe@spsmail.cuny.edu

Password: (lower case)
The first initial of your first and last name followed by the last 4 digits of your social security number.

Example:
Name: John Doe
Last 4 digits of social security #: 1234
Password = jd1234

"We strongly recommend that you login to your e-mail account at least once every 6 months, to ensure that your messages and attachments are kept intact. In the event that you do not login to your email account for an extended period of time, it will be disabled.

While a campus Live account will never be actually deleted from the system, the contents of your inbox will be cleared.
