Offered in partnership with SPS and the Joseph S. Murphy Institute for Worker Education at the request of New York City’s Health and Hospitals Corporation (HHC) and Local 1180 of the Communication Workers of America (CWA), the Health Disparities course examines health disparities in the U.S., with particular reference to their relevance to health care policy and practice in New York City. The course will enhance students’ understanding of existing inequities in health care, and engage them in policy debates and solutions regarding ways to reduce the manifestation of these inequities in New York City’s health care system.
