Online Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management (B.S.) Curriculum

The Online Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management adheres to the guidelines set forth by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM) for accredited health information management degree programs. Program Requirements

120 credits are required for the Online Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management. Of these 120 credits, 39 come from the General Education curriculum, 66 must come from the Health Information Management major, and nine come from Health Information Management elective courses. The remaining six credits may come from electives, either from the Health Information Management curriculum, or from courses in other degree programs.

Note: A minimum grade of a C is required in all courses in the Health Information Management major.  A student may not progress to the next course in the sequence without having a C in the prerequisite course.
