The Off-Campus College (OCC) has over 30 years of experience in helping adults successfully start or return to college. With small classes, individualized advising, convenient class times, and caring faculty, students can learn skills to take back to their jobs and earn college credits at the same time. Our faculty are experts in the fields of education, business, supervisory skills, leadership, diversity, and communication. Teaching excellence is our hallmark, and students who study with the Off-Campus College often experience a renewed excitement for learning and career goal setting. The OCC introduces students to academic study through the exploration of relevant and important workplace issues and topics. In two to four semesters, one can earn a Certificate in Leadership, Education, Management, Communication, or Diversity, or a Graduate Certificate in Adult Learning.
The Off-Campus College was founded in 1980 as part of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. The OCC provides college courses for working adults in preparation for advancement in the workplace and in their academic pursuits.
The Off-Campus College joined the CUNY School of Professional Studies in 2007, and continues its mission of advancing the world of work through the study of areas such as communication, finance, management, leadership, diversity, education, and adult learning.
