Course Description

Prerequisites: BUS 610 or BUS 640 and four additional required courses.
This course will take students through the process of initiating a business venture from the conceptualization phase to the preparation of a detailed, realistic, and professional level business plan. While the course will provide an overview of issues such as entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial character, its main focus is on specific issues, stages, and the process of developing a new business in the increasingly global business environment.
Students who successfully complete the course will have a strong knowledge of the issues involved in initiating and operating an entrepreneurial venture in a global business climate. They will specifically know how to prepare and present a feasibility analysis and business plan for such a venture. In addition, they will have learned how to critically analyze business issues such as those presented in the case studies throughout the course.
