Before beginning the registration process admitted and returning students must consult with your program/faculty adviser about the courses you should enroll in. Once you know what courses you will be taking for the upcoming semester you will need to register through CUNY’s eSIMS system following the instructions below.

Note:  You will be blocked from registering for courses if you have not satisfied the immunization requirements. For information about immunization requirements click here. Students enrolled solely in online courses are exempt from immunization requirements.

Before you start, you will need to change the pop-up setting on your internet browser to “enable”.

1. Log into your CUNY eSIMS Account at http://cuny.edu.
   1. select the Portal Log-in/Blackboard/eSIMS link (on the upper-left hand side of the page under QUICKLINKS).
   2. Select eSIMS Direct (course registration).
   3. Enter your Portal Username and Password in the pop-up screen.
   4. Select OK.

2. If you are a new student to CUNY registering for the first time, select the Meningitis Check-off link on the navigation panel on the left. Read the Meningococcal Meningitis Response Form then scroll to the bottom of the page. Select a response then enter the required information. Select submit.
   
   Please note that this web form does not replace the immunization requirements as detailed in the Immunization Requirements section.
   
   
3. Find the courses you wish to register for by selecting the Open Sections from the navigation panel on the left. This will bring you to the CUNY Schedule of Classes page.
   1. Select a CUNY College: If CUNY School of Professional Studies is not already selected, do so now using the drop down menu.
   2. Select a semester using the drop down menu.
   3. Select a Division: place a check in the box next to Graduate
   4. Click on the Search for Course Sections button on the bottom of the page. This will bring you another page. You do not need to make any changes to this page. 
   5. Click again on the Search for Course Sections on the bottom of the page.
   6. Find the course(s) you wish to register for this semester then on a piece of paper, write down the corresponding code.  You will need these codes to complete your registration.
      Note: ensure you are selecting courses that have available seating.  The Open Seats column will indicate the available seating in a course.  So if you see a “0” in that column, the course is full and the section is closed.
      
      
4. After you have written down all the course codes for the courses you wish to register for this term, return to the main eSIMS page.
   
   
5. Select the Registration link from the navigation panel on the left.
   
   
6. Select the semester you wish to register for. 
   
   
7. Enter the course codes for the courses you wish to register for then select Submit.
