As a School within The City University of New York, all general CUNY policies apply to The School of Professional Studies, including issues such as nondiscrimination, sexual harassment, and freedom of information, as outlined in the bulletin of the CUNY Graduate School and University Center.

Release of Information
Per regulations, the SPS does not release student information (name, attendance dates, address, telephone, e-mail address, fields of study and degrees received), except to those documenting a legitimate interest. A student may ask that such information not be released without his/her written consent by filing a request with the Coordinator of Student Services and Enrollment.
