The SPS faculty includes both individuals who are expert practitioners in the field and full-time faculty members at CUNY, who teach courses at SPS, as well as, or in substitution for, their regular faculty appointments. SPS faculty appointments are made through the CUNY Graduate School and University Center.

SPS also hires CUNY faculty and experts from diverse fields to develop and coordinate programs.

SPS does not have a resident full-time faculty.
